It's Time To Dump That Player You're Hooked Up With
When you've been duped into or lured into a relationship with a player, it's sometimes hard to get rid of them. Especially if they're skilled at hiding this from you and you've just found out the hard way what a creep you're hooked up with.
We're great at taking a lot of the blame for a relationship involving one of these scheming, womanizer types. "I was a poor judge of character" or "What didn't I give him that he needed". Sound familiar? Why? Because the truth of the matter is that it's embarrassing and you look stupid for getting into what you believe is a committed relationship when all they're looking for is their next good time. It's pretty easy to see why some would fall into the clutches of the skilled player. If you aren't a skilled liar yourself, you'll have trouble recognizing them. An honest, down-to-earth person is simply not equipped to read all of the signs.
But there's hope. Watching for the small signs can really help you from wasting time, effort, money and your heart on someone who's only out there to serve their own desires.
Do his words and actions match? If he's chronically late but says that you're the most important person to him? Does he find great gifts but have trouble making time for you? Making excuses and inventing lies that work takes a devious person. Followed closely by a trusting partner who wants to believe in the best, and you've got yourself a recipe for disaster.
Asking yourself, whether or not you're expected to take a backseat to his wants and needs can be helpful as well. Realistically, there should be a certain balance of give and take. If you're always doing the giving and he's always doing the taking...then there's trouble in paradise.
Checking out others and flirting overtly while you're with them is a lousy thing. But think about this, if he's perfectly comfortable playing these other women in front of your eyes; then ask yourself what he'd be capable of when you're not right there with him. Time to realize that you're worth a lot more than what a player brings to the table in a relationship.
Time to dump that Romeo who has one (or more) too many Juliets! He's definitely not worth your time or your effort!
